COPD describes a group of lung diseases that include chronic bronchitis,
emphysema, chronic asthma and pulmonary fibrosis. Symptoms of COPD may
include coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath. Currently, there is
no known cure for COPD. However, research has shown that a pulmonary
rehab program utilizing exercise and education can be an effective
intervention in the treatment of people with these diseases.
If you are one of the millions of Americans suffering
from chronic pain related to neck or back issues, cancer
or a neuropathic condition, new interventional pain
management techniques may be right for you. Our
Interventional Pain Management Program offers pain
management procedures that provide long-term relief and
improved quality of life. Beyond traditional treatments,
such as lumbar steroid injections, the Pain Management
Program provides a wide range of modern, effective, and
minimally invasive pain management therapies such
as:X-ray-guided injection. Radio-frequency ablation.
Minimally invasive intradiscal therapies.Most therapies
can be performed on an outpatient basis and sedation is
provided for patient comfort during the procedure. We all want to live independently in our own homes as long as we can.
Ostomy & Wound Care Management
A wound is a break in the skin (the outer layer of skin is called the epidermis). Wounds are usually caused by cuts or scrapes. Different kinds of wounds may be treated differently from one another, depending upon how they happened and how serious they are. Healing is a response to the injury that sets into motion a sequence of events. With the exception of bone, all tissues heal with some scarring. The object of proper care is to minimize the possibility of infection and scarring.
Because wound healing is based on both internal and external factors, wound healing is extremely complex. A good diet that includes extra protein and calories, vitamin supplements, plenty of fluids and adequate rest are important factors in the wound healing process. Learn more about how our Wound Care Program may be right for you.
Diabetic Education/Management
Diabetes is a disease that is characterized by high blood sugar and uneven metabolism. It is caused by either a low level of insulin in the blood or a resistance to the effects of insulin. There is no known cure for diabetes, but there are several effective treatment options. Diabetes education is a crucial part of a treatment plan.
Our diabetes education focuses on ways to incorporate disease management principles into the individual's daily life and minimize dependence on the health care provider. Let us help you with your daily nutrition management and treatment plan.
IV Therapy / IM Medication
Intravenous therapy or IV therapy is the giving of liquid substances directly into a vein. It can be intermittent or continuous; continuous administration is called an intravenous drip. The word intravenous simply means "within a vein", but is most commonly used to refer to IV therapy. Therapies administered intravenously are often called specialty pharmaceuticals. Through Texas Best Care Home Health it is possible to receive intravenous therapy at home, including medications, complete nutrition, hydration or blood transfusions.
Upon qualifying for this program, a nurse is available to assist patients, or teach patients or caregivers how to administer the proper therapy.

laboratory testing Home infusion is a cost-effective way to allow
patients who might otherwise be hospitalized to remain in the comfort of
their own surroundings. This security is often a factor in successful
recovery from illness. Patients and family members are trained to
participate in their infusion process by IV-certified registered nurses. For more information give us a call at (972)-222-6746.
